CHARTER SCHOOL LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE
An intensive, multi-day "boot camp" for charter school leaders

WHO
The Institute is organized by the Charter Schools Development Center (CSDC), a non-profit resource center that provides experienced and expert technical assistance, training, and resources to California charter school developers, operators, charter-granting agencies, and policymakers. Invited presenters include: Eric Premack and Laurie Gardner of the Charter Schools Development Center; Robert Levy, Attorney, Luce Forward, Hamilton, and Scripps; Katherine Merseth, Director of Teacher Preparation at the Harvard Graduate School of Education; and former Placer-Nevada SELPA Director Kay Atchison.

During the evenings, Institute participants will be divided into teams of 10-12 members to debrief the day and to share their experiences. Team meetings will be led by veteran charter school leaders from across the state and from a range of different educational programs.

WHAT
The Charter School Leadership Institute offers six days of intensive sessions providing California's charter school leaders with the leadership skills and technical know-how necessary to successfully lead their schools. The Institute also provides an invaluable opportunity to interact with California's top charter school leaders and to learn from the country's pre-eminent charter school experts.
