SUMMARY
Under direct supervision of the Education Coordinator, at a single and/or multiple campus site, provides on-site programmatic and administrative coordination on behalf of FIELD and John Muir Charter School.  Serves as on-site liaison and facilitator between the program elements and the target community, and directly collaborates with the community in the on-site achievement of the program’s goals and funding objectives.  Additionally, must possess the ability to work in a team oriented and changing environment.  General supervision counsels individuals and provides group educational and vocational guidance services by performing the following duties. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other related duties as assigned.

- Plans and arranges classrooms, and/or facilities; identifies, recruits and orients participants;
- Provides on-site support for participants, community, instructors, as required;
- Arranges and facilitates all day to day program activities as required;
- Facilitates the recruitment and orientation activities of participants for programs;
- Interacts with personnel at the FIELD and Muir offices and other locations to facilitate the curriculum needs of participants; and assists participants with technical, personal and/or program issues as appropriate;
- Represents and markets the various programs & products to the target community/region;
- Serves as a resource to the community on information about program related activities and issues;
- Monitors progress of training participants and refers participants to appropriate programs and services;
- Advises management of efficient practices at campus site that can be incorporated at other organizational levels;
- Analyzes participant recruitment, retention, average daily attendance (ADA), graduation, placement and employment trends;
- Develops individual training plans based upon participant’s interests, aptitudes, abilities, and personality characteristics, for vocational and educational needs;
- Researches and studies occupational, educational, and economic information & trends to aid participants in making and carrying out vocational and educational objectives;
- Participates in annual operational planning for campus site;
- Reporting of weekly and monthly activity reports of campus site;
- Compiles and maintains documentation and case records of participants’ progress for required funding sources and compliance agencies;
- Maintain productive working relationships with community training providers and social services agencies;
- Serves as the operational point of contact for the providers of services contracted to serve the community;
- Responsible for the ordering and purchasing of materials and supplies for the campus site;
- Regular travel to training and work sites is required;
- Communicate bilingually in both English and Spanish.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides on site campus supervision to instructors, administrative assistants, volunteers and participants.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Current California Teaching Credential with CLAD/EL Authorization.  Preferably a Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University; and one to two-years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.  Ability to speak, read, and write in Spanish.

SKILLS/APTITUDES:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Must have the ability to analyze data qualitatively and quantitatively.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.  Must be comfortable speaking in a group or meeting setting.  Must be able clearly and fluidly communicate his/her thoughts verbally and impromptu.  Must possess bilingual and bi-literate ability in English and Spanish. Must have honesty and patience, know, understand and demonstrate adherence to the core values of the corporation and be an effective team player.  Real passion to assist Participants from the time they are selected to enter the program, to at least one year after they have been placed.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to analyze problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must hold a current California Teaching Credential with CLAD/EL authorization.    Must possess or be able to obtain a valid California Driver’s License and insurance.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  Regularly exposed to industrial and agricultural environments particular to training and work sites encountered in carrying out the duties of this position.

COMPENSATION
$40,500-$55,000 depending on experience and qualifications.  Full medical, dental, and vision benefits are provided.  This is a full time, exempt position on a 260-day working contract.  Vacation time is accrued and will be negotiated at time of hire.
