CHARTER
SCHOOL LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE
An intensive, multi-day "boot camp" for charter school
leaders
WHAT IS IT?
The Charter School Leadership Institute is a nationally renowned leadership training opportunity for California charter school leaders. This intensive, multi-day "boot camp" is designed to ensure that charter school leaders have the technical, organizational, and interpersonal skills and tools necessary to effectively lead their schools. The Institute is organized by the Charter Schools Development Center (CSDC), a non-profit resource center that provides experienced and expert technical assistance, training, and resources to California charter school developers, operators, charter-granting agencies, and policymakers. The 8th annual CSDC Charter School Leadership Institute will feature national charter school experts at a five-star facility for a fraction of the actual cost. Presenters will include CSDC Co-Directors Eric Premack and Laurie Gardner; Dr. Katherine Merseth, Director of Teacher Preparation at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, James Scot Yarnell, expert personnel attorney; other CSDC staff, and veteran charter school practitioners.

This Institute is designed for and targeted at new and experienced California charter school principals and other school leaders who have direct responsibility for overseeing and managing a broad range of responsibilities at their schools.
