Biographical
Information
Stephanie
Schwuchow is the Project and Accountability Services Manager at
the Charter Schools Development Center (CSDC). Schwuchow’s
areas of expertise include strategic planning, financial modeling,
business development, and grant-writing as well as charter school
finance, funding, and operations. At CSDC, Schwuchow is the head
of Accountability Services, which provides in-depth school quality
and renewal review services, trainings and consulting to schools
and authorizers. Schwuchow also manages multiple projects and leads
a variety of strategic and new business development initiatives.
She is also responsible for providing consulting expertise, presenting
workshops, and writing articles on topics related to charter school
funding, operations, financial planning, fundraising, and other
business matters. Further, Schwuchow is the lead contact at CSDC
for all technical assistance needs regarding the Public Charter
Schools Grant Program (PCSGP).
Prior to joining CSDC, Schwuchow was the Chief Financial Officer
and founding team member at Oakland Unity High School. She also
worked as a Business Consultant for the Oakland Charters Together
project and has authored charter school guides on topics including
business plan development and fiscal resources. Schwuchow has further
experience as a Corporate Educator at a technology start-up and
Management Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she specialized
in designing and implementing financial accounting systems. Currently,
Schwuchow serves on the board of Young Entrepreneurs at Haas, a
youth development organization that utilizes principles of business
and entrepreneurship to excite and educate at-risk youth toward
the achievement of higher education. She holds a BS and MBA from
UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.
